About the Farm Experience

Dear Teachers,

Do you want to skip the tired, plain-old pumpkin patch visit this year? Let us put a full-fledged Farm Experience on your field trip calendar.

Give your students the opportunity to explore life on a working farm, learn from true family farmers, and find their way through a maze to pick their very own pumpkins. They’ll have so much fun exploring our hay bale maze, feeding the animals, and enjoying the horse drawn ride they won’t even realize how much they’re learning.

Every Farm Experience field trip at Lewis Farms includes the following activities:

  • Navigating the Hay Bale Maze
  • Riding the Horse Drawn Hay Wagon to our Pumpkin Patch
  • Picking your very own Pumpkin
  • Feeding our Barnyard Animal friends
  • Blacksmith Demo with Blacksmith Andrew
  • Horseback Riding & Cow Milking Demonstrations
  • Farm lesson tailored to your group’s age and/or grade level
  • Picnic Facilities
  • Playing on our playground & Hay Bale Mountain

Each experience lasts approximately 1.5 hours plus time to enjoy our picnic and play areas after the programmed activities are complete.

Farm lessons range from corn, pumpkin, and cotton plant life cycles, to horses, cows, chickens, pigs, and other farm life elements.
